Ok, Im still learning my car. Im not clear on the fitting that goes into the log head and has a "T". One T is a metal line that goes down toward the transmission. The other T has a rubber hose coming off of it, the prev. owner capped off the rubber hose.

Ive looked in my shop manual and dont see it .

To clarify what I'm talkin about, look at the post about Port Divider Pics and look at "The Dudes" log head.

Thanks , Kelly

That's a manifold vacuum source. The hard steel line goes back to the vacuum modulator near the rear of your automatic transmission. The rubber hose usually goes to your distributor advance/retard mechanism. Many times people cap off the intake manifold source to cut off the timing retard. This usually works well as long as you still have a ported vacuum source (usually coming from a port off the carburetor near it's base) going to the distributor on the advance side.
