what kind of fuel pump is this!!!

okay, soI'm chanign over to a stock 78 ford fiarmount mechpump and pulled my old pump out, but what the hell is the old pump?? the arm is completely different!!! and I'm thinking this might have been my 'tap' all along. but what do you guy's think?

and which pump is better?

I figured I have a 78 block so I should go for a 78 Ford Fairmount mechanical gas pump.

According to CI on the carter modification, the OLD pump looks right for the arm.

any one have any idea? and which one would you use?

Maybe I should go pick up a stock 65 pump...

i just changed my fuel pump and both had the new pump arm i think there where probably variations on the arm over the years but they will all work just fine.
