Was talking to a mechanic the other day who has been around and he tells me that he though the 250 2V cam out wih a hotter cam than the log head six to work in conjuction with the better head.
I doupt this is the case and I tried to measure my original and found the profiles were so worn it was impossible.
If it had a hotter cam I think Ford would have been wiser than to have rated it at only 15 hp above the standard log head. But Ford also said that the torque peak went up from 1600rpm to 2800rpm in sales broshures (with just a head change?) It all doesnt make much sence to me and it makes it hard to know what you can expect when you make changes if you dont have a benchmark.
Does anyone know or know how to get the original cam specs (duration ect) for a 250 2V I know the American log head ones (assume same as Aussie).
