Whats the original carb tag worth?

I remember reading on here somewhere the original carb tags were rare and some people paid good money for them, i have 2 of them from 2 original carbs ive rebuilt. Both of them read c50f Z and B 6BB, with the fomoco stamp. I will probably put the tag on the falcon carb just for an original feel, but if its worth something ill ebay it. What are these tags made from btw? Looks like lead.

I would guess that the "good money" would only be applicable to carbs that were mounted on K, G, W, P, O, R, & Z coded engines!

I threw away 15-20 of them off various 1 Bbl carbs a couple months ago when I was cleaning out my shop.... :)

Didnt know they were worth anything myself. Maybe the tags are made out of aluminum?

its worth exactly what someone else is willing to pay for it. if its the final touch to get his collector car looking "just so", he might give something for it. for the rest of us, they don't mean much

I think i will throw it on the falcon just for the original look. I went and got another 1100 from the junkyard. Carb is getting beadblasted and cleaned today and its going on by the end of the day hopefully.
