It's been too hot the last few weeks! Work, tech, sleep. Simple recipe.

Planning to finish my diff ASAP for the coupe, then draw up battle plans for the wagon. Wagon will go on a rotisserie if I can find $500-600 to make it. Ever had car withdrawal? That's what I've got from my poor old XM. I want to sit in it, drive it, use it!

Well,
its been a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time since I posted, but now is as good as ever. I've been snatching a peek at the site every now and then when time allows, and now its the end of the day here and I'm not far off going home. Addo's right, its too hot. Its 42°C outside at the moment (in my part of the world), which is about 108°F. Add to that I'm surrounded by concrete and steel in the chemical plant I work at so it feels like a furnace. I'm still driving my old XY Falcon, but the rust is slowly getting worse, and it will need attention real soon. Except $$$$ and time don't allow for much of that. :( :( Also have my little son (10.5 months old) to keep me occupied. :D :D So life is full-up at the moment. Better run, I'll keep poking my nose into the site from time to time. And when I finally get a computer at home one of these days I'll be able to spend more time here!!

Stay safe and God Bless!

Teddy :)

When I have had a chance I have been out in the shed trying to get something done on my XM sedan.....not acheiving too much though

Transit has been reliable for a while now, so not much needed doing on it.
Tomorrow I am going to do some work on it neatening up the conversion. We have a removable cover for the engine/gearbox to make it easier to do major work on. It makes it so much easier to remove the engine or gearbox if you can just remove the cover and get to the belhousing bolts from the top. The cover on it is a bit rough so we are making a new one complete with good draught seals and noise reduction felt.
It is also getting a better heater fitted ( old one was crap, then it broke) and a bumper fitted to the front ( it looks kinda mean with a big steel beam for a bumper thogh).

My brother's XY ute has recieved some new steering components so it is now safe to drive (man it was scary before) and the next thing is to fit the nice guards and doors we have for it and replace the front floor. It also needs large numbers of dents removed from the back half. Enough to keep me busy for a while.

My 3 French cars have been giving me headaches. I am trying to sell one, register another, and find a gearbox for the third. AAAAAARGHHHHHH!

TeddyXY71, I noticed you are at Mulwala and work in a chemical plant. Would that be the ADI propellant factory? They make some nice powder. I never use any other brand.

been working my can off before uni starts. about 2 weeks for that to happen, though. On top of that, I'm moving out of home and into a place nearer the university and the city and workplaces, too. The van has been really reliable, only needed to clean the battery posts and check the oil.

I've also been looking for a TE/TF corty with a 250, on gas.. they seem to be pretty hard to come across, at least the ones on gas that are in fair nick at the right price. Most seem to have had the living daylights thrashed out of them, full of rust, etc... When the right one comes along, that'll be a turbo project car..

MY 2V 250 XY is waiting on a quote to get the rust removed.
I'm looking to the possibility of using it as my day driver for a while.
Replaced the heater tap in it last weekend so I no longer have to drive around in 42 degrees with my heater on!!!
