i've seen messages posted on this board saying so and so should get a stall converter, i would like to know who makes a 2000-2500 or so stall converter for the 9 1/4" bolt circle 24 spline C-4.

I think that stall would be helpful in my falcon, any other suggestions on my buildup would be appreciated. (note i am only 19 and don't have piles of money to throw at it)

8) for street cars i recomend the B&M holeshot converter. they act like a stock converter untill you stand on the gas. you can also try performance automatic, and art carr.

i checked all three out, none of them makes a converter for my 9.25 bolt circle, did they change the inline six c-4 to 10.5 bolt circle later or is that just for v-8's?

Check out Makco Distributing, Inc. for the C4 early Rebuilt Torque converters 24 spline input shafts (1965-1969):
http://www.bulkpart.com/cgi-bin/miva?Me ... Code=C4etc
What year is your C4? These are rebuilt units, but for the price, it might work until you find the 2400 stall speed converter you’re looking for.
Here’s the B&M Holeshot 2400 P/N 50412, application: Ford '66 -'69 step case C4 with 10.5" bolt circle, 24 spline input shaft, 1.375" crank pilot :

you all seem to be looking over one important number, the converter on my car right now is a 10" diameter with a 9.25" bolt circle all the converters you have pointed out to me are 10.5" bolt circle. i got the converter from makco part f20 , the c-4 is a 1965 green dot with a 69' valve body(better pattern)

Winters Transmissions in York PA used to do custom torq converters dont know if they still do or if there still in business.

Guys, B&M, TCI, Hayes... they don't make a converter for the small bell 200. Dan (Import Killer) found one from some company Maako/Daaco (??) but I'd almost bet it's a rebuilt OE with more stall.

Anything from the bigger companies is also going to have a rating for a V8.... the 2400 "Breakaway" TCI I used on my old 250 would only stall to about 1800rpms.... I was a little dissapointed, but I should have known better.

I’m pretty sure it’s this one: http://www.bulkpart.com/cgi-bin/miva?Me ... Code=C4etc
The P/N “F20 10" dia. With 132 tooth ring gear, 1.375" pilot, 24 splines, flats on hub, and drain plug evenly spaced between studs. 1965-1969 some 170 & 200 enginesâ€￾
I sent Dan (Import Killer) a PM to check in on this post to verify.
