WITH THE INSTALLATION OF 1.6 ROLLER ROCKER ARMS REQUIRE REMOVEL OF CYLINDER HEAD TO MAKE THE PUSHROD HOLE LARGER OR TO ENLONGATE BECAUSE OF MOVING THE PUSHROD CLOSER TO THE ROCKER ARM FULCRUM??? I KNOW ON SOME V-8 CYLINDER HEADS THE PUSHROD GUIDE OR CYLINDER HEAD HAS TO BE RELEVED FOR PROPER PUSHROD CLEARENCE. ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED.WSA111 :[/b]

Nope, the roller tipped rockers are a true bolt on. Just unbolt the old rocker assembly, bolt on the new assembly, and adjust them as you would any adjustable rocker. Very simple swap.

Mike,

Just for the record, if my head has been milled .030", no decking on the block, .444 lift cam, I should still be clear for piston to valve clearance, right?

Is that 440-odd with your choice of rockers, or a quoted standard lift? Plasticine might be a good idea.

Slade, with a .444 lift (which is figured at a 1.5 ratio) the 1.6 rockers will give you a .473-474 lift. That should be fine, but as always, it is good practice to check the clearance anyway just to be sure.

The Geezer and I are both running an advertized .480 lift cam, both milled our heads, and I'm not sure about Doug's, but my block was deck. Neither of us had an issue with clearance after installing the roller tipped rockers.
