thers no picture, and i've tried to find one of it, but i hear the 80's heads have bigger valves, and possibly a detachable intake manifold...any info on these heads?

From '77 and up, there are two variants, with a change intake log volume as the only difference. The 'flat top' log has the smaller volume. The 'hex log' has the larger.

The valve size is the same for both variants. None have a removable intake, and all other specifications are the same.

This is the recommended log head because of the larger valves and hardened seats. Both types have more intake volume than previous years.
