XD 3.23 diff

I was poking around the wreckers today, (my day out at myers) and came arcoss an xd sedan, had a C4 in it and getting parts , I happen to look at the diff it was setup on a leaf spring and thought sedans didn't have a leaf spring setup, the ID tag said it had a ratio of 3.23, had drum brakes, I never got the part number from the tag but notice that the filler plug was a metal screw in bung, would anyone be able to tell what car that this might of originally came out off

XD was the last sedan with rear leaves. Diff sounds original (maybe taxi or 200 cuber).

Will the complete XD diff fit into an XE ute would there be a problem or is there another year car that I can do that with? I like to try the 3.23 ratio
