Hey guys.
Ive got a carbied XF falcon, but blows black smoke when the throttle is pressed. On idle, there's a tiny tiny amout of black smoke, if any at all.
I know its running rich...
But where te hell is the mixture screw on the webber carby? It doesnt even say it in my gregorys manual?!

check that the butter fly is comming of, this will xcause youre black smoke. you could have a hole in one of the dia-phrams at the front of the carb, theres one therre that is like a vacuime accelator pump, it jhas manifold vacume on one side and fuel on the othere , very rair to stuff up. most likely be the choke, the idle mixture screw, is just that an idle mixture screw, it wont stop it smoking up high. itls located on the passenger ide of the car, basicly faces the shocker tower, its in the bottom plate of the carby, it may have a brass plug over it.
you could also, have a leaking needle and seat, if your cars on gas it may haver backfired ansd crushed the float.

God-damn... so many potential problems... The carby has been reco'd not too long ago... and its never backfired or nufin. So im guessing the choke or idle mix screw... ill take a look 2moro in daylight... thats buddy ;)
