Hi all,
One of my housemates has an unfinished xf wagon project where he was putting in a racing cam (unsure brand), strengthened springs and pushrods and some new lifters.
After some bolts didnt want to come out of the flywheel on the engine we had to give up, and so I now have the chance to buy an xf s-pac in good nick for a decent price (a different xf), so I plan to put the above gear, plus extractors, mags, new shocks maybe new carby etc into it.
I hear a new cam etc makes the 4.1 (carby) go pretty hard - but I hear some people who upgrade their cam wreck their dizzy gear if they don't get an aftermarket one. Has anyone had any trouble with this and do you think it is wise to buy one before I put the new cam etc in?
Also what sort of power figures would you expect this to put out after its done?
Thanks.
