Carb problems?

: Two quetions:
1)I have a single barrel carb on my 6-cylinder '66 coupe. The setup is all messed up and needs to be reconfigured completely. Is there a way that I can just "reset" all the adjustments and start tuning again? And if so, does anyone have any idea on how to set it up right?
2)I have been considering just getting a two barrel for the 6-cylinder, but am tryting to figure out what exactly I need. Does anyone know what kind of Carb. would be good and what kind of setup(parts, etc.) I need?

yea check the EGR question in the hardcore tech section as well as the vacuum advance question in this site and i ust put up under 'which carb is better?' a few sites that u just have to go through cause i know there is some info that might be of use to you throughout these three threads. plus there are probably many more.
