Fox body crossmembers

Does anyone know specifically what the differences are between the straight 6 and the other version of the Ford fox body crossmembers?

I'm pretty sure the straight 6 versions have the engine mounts further forward, but I don't know the differences elsewhere.

The motor mounts are also closer together for the inline 6. But other than that I don't think there is much difference. My brother and I swapped out his I-6 crossmember for a 4 cyl. in his Capri and had no problems.

Did some searching awhile back when I wanted to drop a 302 in my zephyr and somewhere a long the line I found a picture of the I4/V8 K-member compared to the I6 version.

Thanks for the info guys, and thanks for posting that picture Nitroracer, that's exactly what I needed.

It seems I was right, in that the only real difference is the engine mount location. The question now is whether or not I fab my own engine mounts with the existing v8 crossmember, or actually pull an I6 one at the wreckers.
