Help ID This Carb

Can anyone ID this motocraft 1 barrel carb?

Fo those of you following my carb saga, my old Holley 1940 took forever to start after sitting more than 8 hours. I rebuilt it, installed a new fuel filter, new fuel pump, and reset the float - no help. I put this old motocraft on my 200 and it fires right up! So I think my old carb may have a leakly bowl, but anyway I'm sticking with the motocraft. It has a manual choke and a some missing parts - but fires right up. I'll rebuild it once I identify it. Thanks in advance.

I have that same carb on my 64 merc 200. I dont know what it is. It's not listed in the falcon performance handbook. I would like to know what it is too.

Sorry I don't know much about Motocraft, but it sure does look an awful lot like a Holley 1940.

I have one of those in a box in my trunk. Replaced it with a Pony 1100. I was too chicken to ask and expose my own lack of information.

So what is it?

Looks like a carb I got when I bought a 200 from a 70(?) Maverick, still got it too. The linkage pulls down on the early ones.

Holley 1940, manual choke, no spark control valve.

Don´t get confused by the embossed name script; some read motorcraft, some autolite. factory replacement carb back in the day. Seen a lot of sixes with their original 1100´s swapped for this guy. Its not covered in none of my mitchell shop manuals, but I have an exploded diagram .jpg saved somewhere.

Thanks everyone-
it really does look much like my other Holley 1940, except my Holley has an automatic choke in the front.
This current carb has not fast/slow idle cam and is missing diaphragm on the driver side. I can swap the fast/slow cam from my other 1940, right? And do I need that diaphragm?

spark control valve?
you´ll need that with a vacuum-only advanced load-o-matic distributor only.

Marc, how is your linkage set up? mine is hooked up to the adapter between the head and carb, where the water runs through. Yours looks diffrent than mine

Curtis-
My throttle linkage is a cable bracket mounted to the head, then I fabricated a longer link to the bellcrank. The link is made from the throttle connectors from a 71 Valiant and a 68 Riviera (from Dorris in Hayward - where else?), threaded together with a bent 1/4-28 threaded rod from OSH.

Took the car out this work today - starts up great but I am still adjusting the idle speed so I don't stall.

Thanks to Simon and M-6, Duane, Ludwig, and JB for all the help.
