I installed a double roller chain from Classic Inlines. I'm at the final stages of the engine overhaul but ran into a problem There is a dished stamp steel oil slinger that fits over the crank and runs up against the crank gear and chain. When I turn the engine over by hand, the slinger catches on the timing chain. I thought maybe the balancer should be installed to apply even pressure around the oil slinger, so I put the damper on and cranked it down. It still catches the chain. Anyone have a solution for this?
