Replacing Exhaust Mainfold

We have a 1980 200 I6 in a 65 mustang. Are there any tricks other than heating up the bolts with a torch to prevent the bolts from breaking? Thanks!

Take it slow and easy. Start out with only a 3/8" hand ratchet. If they dont easily break loose try rocking them back and forth. Old rusty bolts break easy so dont just go nuts with the impact or a hunk of pipe.

Start with a warm engine. that can help loosen stuff up. A good penitrating oil overnight might be a good idea as well.
