250 in 69 f100

69 f100 2wd 4spd. Just looking to build a driver. No racing, no towing. Truck has the original 360 in it now, was going to swap in a 300 with the new al head but no word on that.
How well could a 250 work in this app? Enough torque to get out of its own way, late model 5spd swap, light, fairly efficiant.
Thoughts, ideas? Thanks, Matt.

It would be a silly swap considering you could get a 300 for cheap and it would be a better motor and could lead to greater things in the future. Go 300 for sure!

I drive a 62 F100. It has a 223 Six in it (stock). I have installed a T5 behind it, and with the 3.70 rear does a very good job as a daily driver. I use it mostly with no loads but an occasional to the dump and such. Not blazing acceleration, but does good. Depending on circumstances, I would go for it.

8) while you could put a 250 into your F100, it would struggle to get to speed, and wouldnt be as efficient as you want. a 300 would be a much better choice.
