uhhhhh…. U hebt schuldeiser een mooie baan

Did I get that right??? Being a Texan my Dutch is a bit rusty..

Just in case: Your car looks great..
if I'm not too late, I have a couple questions.
What cam did you use.
What is your compression reading.
What is the cfm of each carb you used.
What muffler did you use.

Are you driving it now..
Thanks Roy..

hello echo 1955,,
yes i have a nice job, your dutch is good enough for me,
do you have dutch family,(from the frisian province?)
i am also a frisian.

the answers on your question:cam--old stock,,original.
compression:i have not meassure yet.
cfm:i don't know i used three holey's.
mufflers:flowmasters from stainless steel.
i want to go for the wow factor,a lot of horse power is not importend.
at the moment it is bad weather in holland, and the middle carb, is not good working,
so i must first have a new one, after that the motor can starting up.
stay focus,,,when the time is right i let you know more,,,,,,,

greetz,,,JD,,, ;)

hahahahaha not at all not at all.
That’s just my Texas humor coming in.
I believe a little humor now and then + an AMSTEL on a project this size is needed now and then.

Actually I went to a free translation site and ask to convert from English to Dutch.
I was just guessing on the Dutch part.
That’s why I asked if had I got that right… Hope ya see da humor….

A couple months ago I was forced to repaint my car. I had finished it and was driving it.
Then I bumped into your post and was so impressed I went back pulled my fenders, motor, sandblasted the engine compartment and painted it.

I am going to set it up with the tri carb. I have been doing a lot of research at Classic Inline..
Mine will be slightly different. Like you I am not interested in max hp or drag racing.
My goal is strictly candy with just a touch of performance.

That is why I asked for the cfm on your carb.
I still do not clearly understand exactly how that all comes together…
So what is the model Holleys you used.

Staying in focus is one of my better traits..
Again JD…. a terrific job…

I got to thinking about your throttle linkage. It looks as if the center carb functions as normal driving and the otter 2 come in with power acceleration.

If this is the case and you believe the center carb is not up to par, have you consider swapping it with one of the outer carb before you exchange it for a new one.

This may or may not expose an issue not related to the carb????
I had a 1957 Olds with a J2 on it. The J2 had 3 carbs and they all worked together as one.

Also: If the outer 2 are for power do they need choke??

I’m no expert by any means.. It’s just a meandering thought..

wow nice car
and a very nice tri-power set-up
i like your engine
can you show me some pics of your head work
what did you take to drill the holes in the head for the tri-power
thanks marcus

thank you patrick, and marcus you can ask the toolshop,
the messurement is depending about the size of the hole
from you're carburator,it must never bigger than that.
use the link i have made from the kastang page and watch
the photo's,the hole from the intake is bigger than the
hole that is drilled.

Where did you get your high torque starter, because I'm having the same problem with header clearance. Besides more torque on start ups would be a great upgrade.

hello inline fanatic 1968,,what you could do is the next,,
the high torque mini starters work well with headers, as they
provide clearence, plus they can be index rotated to any position.
order one for a 390 ci v8 as they fit the 200 ci.

i have made a new cennector plate to the gearbox, the reason was the
v8 has 3 bolt connection and the 200 ci, has an 2 bolt connection.
you have to find an company who have machines to make this for you,
i have don this.

my next job i want to do,,,,i want in the future my 68'moter
build up with the triple carb conversion,,so i have made a start
with an old 200 donor moter,,so i can first try to do something
before i start with my matching moter.
