What valve spring rates for a 200 L6 with turbo and 6000rpm?

Shortblock is done.

Starting on final parts of head Friday, will be ordering valves, valve springs, retainers, and keepers.

What kind of valve spring rates should I be looking at for a turbocharged 200 L6 that is rev limited to 6000rpm. Looking at 20lbs boost maximum.

It is my understanding high boost turbo engines need higher spring rates closed to keep high boost pressure from blowing valve open when closed.

At what point should I move to dual spring setup?

hey Mark, congrats, almost there.

On my engine rebuild (w/o turbo) Mike recommended the hp-302 springs with my 264/274 cam, so I would probably getting something stronger than those. mabye some with dual spring is the ones you need, I don't think it'll hurt.
 
Personally I think those springs will work very well, alot has to do with cam selection, how is 20 lbs of boost going to unseat a 100 lb closed valve.
