Swap a carburetor

Againg I am try to get help, so thanks againg :thanks:

I am finishig to rebuild my engine. and the carburator donate is a Rochester GM dualjet from a V8 1979 260ci.

so, I try to starter the engine, but the carburator no give gasoline.

I desesambly and I am show the pictures.

another question: if I get a weber or autolite carburetor, do you think I can use the same adapt plate of the intake?

Yes. Because its a GM carb, you need some GM advcie.

Over in Australia, the stock 2-bbl 173 and 202 cubic inch Holden engines with this carb just got an adaptor on top, and it could run a 32/36 or 38 or Fiat style 34ADM 2-bbl carb.

and what you think about the Rochester Dualjet status of mine ? and what do you think to use on my 200ci?

Sould be just fine. 200's and 250 engines don't produce much difference in power, so using a GM 250 carb on a Ford 200 is just fine.

That carb appears to be gunked up and needs a thorough cleaning.
Has it been sitting a long time?
