Starter interchange?

Is it possible to swap an SBF starter to a 250? I'd love to be able to utilize a Mini-Starter and see if that helps with header issues.

Yes it should fit.

Just make sure it's for the proper tranny. They come in 3/4" and 3/8" offsets.

PMGR 'mini' on my '61 with 250/T5 solved the header and tie rod interference ( tie rod 'flipped' as per Scheldahl bros' ).

I have a mini starter on my 250 I bought online somewhere. Should be plenty at the yards if you knew the correct vehicle to look for, I wonder if someplace like Modern Driveline might know.
Those are good pictures Powerband showing clearance with the mini starter. Makes me think my Hooker 6601 headers may fit my 250 Bronco. Haven't tried to fit them yet.

Yes, Hooker 6601's won't clear the larger V8 bellhouse without mods'.
