7 qt performance oil pans

In your case partly or fully Custom is your only option.

The US 250 has an approx 2" wider sump to gasket face to cater for the almost 4" stroke.

Aussie 250's are closer to 144/170/200 width.

The Australians at High Energy make one #HE 2011that can be welded into your existing sump top if you do it right. Brand new, its 375 Australian dollars. http://www.highperformanceworld.com.au/ ... low_xc-xe/

The X-flow and non x-flow 250 bottom ends are the same, just a sump depth and pickup change, they just charge you an extra 38%. No point on paying an extra $127 bucks on something you might cut up.

Follow Mike1157's sump build...you can flitch up a stock sump with Briggs and Stratton gas tanks, and deepen it to a degree. Foxes use a different sump, the x-car 250's will fit in as easy as you please.

Nice choice, by the way, you know what you want, and your going for it. The road blocks (a better sump, weight, axle and trans, bellhousing, marginal stock chain, bigger crank spiggot) allow you to really go nuts with rectifications that fix those things.

Like this.

There is a main cap gidrle too "Ford 250 Main Cap Girdle (stroker/race 6 cyl falcon 4.1 crossflow (x-flow), its based on the 4 LITER DOHC engine. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-250-Mai ... 7064732063

Tony Anderson runs "Angry X Performance".

All these guys do is what has been talked about since the infancy of Ford Six performance forums. A MIGwelder, profile cutter, and some Southern Cross smarts, and you've done it youself. Typical Aussie "thermos flask and suitcase enginuity" Note1

His BITZA Ute has a windage tray and his Ross Forged piston, methonol burning 250 runs runs to 7 grad without running bearings.

His sum is just a basic letter box.

Note 1:
Southern Cross smarts

2.54-4.24 mins "440 miles out to sea, when a portion the exhaust carried away, shattering the starboard engines propeller, forcing Smithy to turn and make for home...the two motors were ending the term of their tether, and the third cold and silent...Bill Taylor climbing out on the starboard wing, using a thermos flask, transferred oil to John Stanage's suitcase in the cabin. The oil was then transferred to the port side engine"

you might also contact moroso and canton racing, as they used to sell kits that allowed you either modify or build your oil oil pan, or oil pan sump.

Speedway Motors also sell pan kits.

High Energy Oil Pans used to make them. Mike from CI imported them with the 250-2V heads when he first started. There was some kind of problem with the company so Mike stopped bringing them in. I have one installed.

But, you can try http://www.asroilpans.com/about-asr.html. They are also a Aussie company. But, a group buy may be worth it.

Thats right, High Energy changed and the bloke is now ASR, deal with them and don’t worry about high energy.
