Is there anyone in North America that imports and sells the Argentine or Australian cylinder head, intake and header? Also can you still buy the Classic inlines aluminum head, intake and header?

Thanks!

You can buy them here most anytime you want them. I've bought and sold quite a few myself. It's cheaper to go direct than through a dealer anyway. http://www.ebay.com.au/

With the strong US dollar, around $1.38AU, it's not that bad of a bite.
However, shipping will suck all of that savings up. That and the weight of the head/intake limits the shipping options
(AU AirPost is limited to 20Kg). Seamail is the cheapest if you can wait 2-3 months for delivery.

Of course, you need to find a seller willing to box and ship it overseas.

Good luck.

you might contact our friend and fellow board member xctasy. though he is in new zealand, they still have similar product as australia. he can give you a good idea of the cost of shipping, as well as the cost of the head and its attendant items needed to make it work.

Most car guys down in Oz are more than willing to help out anyway they can. Also, most dealers or importers tack on the shipping costs to the price of the head anyway even though they fill a container and ship many more things together, so you don't really get a deal. They are banking on the convenience factor of them having it on hand more than the sticker shock. Any way you look at it, shipping is $300 to the US, but i've never paid more than $100 just for the head, so your under $400 including shipping. Most every "deal" i've seen these importers offer is $700-$800 bucks. That's just been my experience anyway.

What is the best search words to use? I tried 6 cylinder cast iron head but no results. Got a lot of v8 heads for some reason.
thanks

You'll have to use the link above that I provided to take you to the Australian version of ebay, but once there, just type in Ford Crossflow or Ford 250 2V and you should find something.

Make sure you are on the Australian eBay site: http://www.ebay.com.au/ and type in the search line Ford 250 2V.

Right now, there are no heads on eBay, only an intake; $490 BIN is too much money for a 2Bbl intake.
I paid less for a triple weber intake, delivered, to my house.

Speaking of intakes, right now there are five different intakes you can purchase for a 250 2V head;
1) The stock 2V intake (the 2V stands for 2 venturies, or 2Bbl carb),
2) A 4Bbl intake (either from Classic Inlines or http://www.aussiespeed.com),
3) A supercharger intake from Aussiespeed,
4) A triple SU intake,
5) A triple DCOE Weber intake,

The last two are harder to find, but are still out there.

In Argentina they made those engines(221 six and Lima 4cyl) til the 90's. Mine is a 1992 taken from a Argentine F-100 pick up. So they continued develop and improve this engines until mid 90's when finally stopped production. Thoose latest six engines intended more fuel efficiency than performance, only 138Hp I guess

Love to see more pic - esp on the pinto motor (we have the one shot of the 'falcon' here). Got a pic of the other side?
"the 221"? Is that the 2.0 or 2.3?

Should we take it over to "car corral" or "orphane inlines"? Wanna do what's right but also get a chance for more…

IIRC the 221 is the end development of the 200 6 in Argentina. It would be a 3.6l or 3.7l. The falcon handbook talks about it along with the aussie 250 and classic inlines aluminum head.
