250 double roller timing chain kit supply and demand

So after doing the math and with s&h I am pretty sure these things will run between $150-$175 a pop.
Now with that said, who is still interested?
 
The fact that Mike 1157 was able to mix and match components to make it all bolt together proving that it all bolts together....but it remains to be seen if it works and lasts!
 
This is true, but before I get sets made for anyone I am going to make one for myself and see how long it lasts on my engine.
Now if anyone wants one, I can get them one at their own risk.
My plan is to use the dimensions of the 5.0 roller sprockets with the ID the same as the 250 sprockets.
If there are any suggestions please let me know

shouldn't they be the same in ALL dimensions (except 4 wider)?
 
I am sorry I did not mention the dimensions of the teeth on the sprockets. Now making the ID (inner diameter) the same as the 250 allows the sprockets to be a direct bolt on.

I have emailed three companies about making the sprockets.
Now it is the waiting game. if you are interested, by all means, please keep adding to this post.

PS the Holden V8 3DR62 chain is the same as the Toyota 18R series motors. If you get stuck there's an alternative

Mike1157 used a Melling 3DR56-2. It is a double roller timing chain one link shorter than the 3DR58-2 5.0 Windsor OHV V8 timing chain Does10's used before he removed the link. Its also the the short stroke 2T Corolla timing chain, which Cloyes or Dido make as well. The Holden/Toyota 18r/AMC use 3DR62-2 is six units two long. Three links would have to be removed.


For the short deck 144/170/200 with its stock aftermarket twin roller sproket , its interchage is the 3DR52-2. That's two links shorter, or four units.

Race wining Mini Copper S, Monte Carlo class wins and the London to Sydney winning 1725 Hillman Hunter, the unmatched relability of the Toyota 4-cylinder, the 430 to 500 hp racing 304 and 308 Holdens, and 5.0 Windsor OHV V8 in Fox Mustangs or TRANS Am or AVESCO v-8's, its all the same kind of chain, just longer or shorter to suit application. The 5.0 cam and crank timing gear is very cheap and strong.
 
got the cloyes chain coming Toyota corolla. found a great deal on billet sbf d/r multi index crank gear etc. setup too. will post more asap. chain was 17.00

I have to get all components in front of me and my engine on a stand then go from there. also gotta get in touch with clay smith to see if he,s willing to work with us cam wise. we,ll see what the LORDS will is on this.
 
I,am feeling the turning dow or the crank to match sbf is going to be best route,my thinking on this is so a sbf harmonic balancer can also be used. puls theres lots of crank pulleys for sbf apps.
