So what electric fuel pump do you guys recommend?

I would personally not use an Airtex pump simply due to reliability concerns. Those brands typically don't specialize in long life. My personal choices are Carter P60504 or Facet 40105. Carter makes good pumps, always has. Facet makes solid state pumps that are really neat, commonly used in aircraft so you can expect good reliability.
