VALVE TIP HEIGHT

Getting ready to assemble my aluminium head I know the spring installed height but is there info on the valve tip height?

On the aluminum head to get the correct spring height, do not remove material from the spring seat otherwise you will be into the intake port. The head is very thin in that area.
Make sure you install spring seats to protect the soft head material.
All the cam companies make keepers with several options to obtain the proper spring installed height.
I told Mike years ago to install longer valves, cause the head flows up to .600"
With the current valves you are lucky to even get 1.700" installed height.
That limits your total lift just a little above .500"
Longer valves can be special ordered, but the cost will be high.
If you go that route you will need longer pushrods & might have to shim the rocker arms stands.
Being said the short spring installed height limits your camshaft selection to achieve optimum performance.
There could be 20-40 HP you are leaving on the table.
