Tri Power accel pedal effort?

I put the three Holley 1904 glass bowl carbs back on my '61/250 Offy TriPower after a few years of alternate tri-port manifold options.

AS originally, with the 1904's odd throttle shaft linkage and original Offenhouser TriPower progressive linkage and its extra throttle return springs, the pedal effort is heavy. I am using a suitable aftermarket cable with a Maverick pedal.

Info on alternates for the 1904 carbs and Offy' linkage appreciated. I am considering the 65 Mustang V8 pedal / bell-crank arm through firewall if it would help.

On a buddy's 63 ranchero,which has a bellcrank,I thought having the pedal attached to the floor was adding to the hard pedal.I talked him out of "stretching" the springs and a trip to the hardware store gave us 10 springs for about $6.
We bagged and tagged the originals and 12 brews later had something he liked and wouldn't stick wide open(whee!).
 
Many hydraulic sandwiches will fix anything?????
