Resleeve Cylinders on my 200 block?

Sent my 200 block out for a rebuild and was told I need to re sleeve. Another person says it's normal and bore should take care of it. I see holes on the top of the shafts and am thinking no way this can be bored out, but I'm no machinist. What do you think?

I would re-sleeve maybe one cylinder. Any more than that the cost would not be worth it. That would be the time to pick up another block.

a .030 bore will only clean up a .015 flaw. That looks like it would take about a .200 cut to clean up. The only motor I know of that could take that is a Packard 352.

I have offset bored some to save a block ....Hard to tell in the pic but it looks like it is to much, especially on being on the major thrust side.
