head

i am going to have work on my head...any suggestions on what i should have done...its going to be a total redo...but if theres something else that can improve performance ..let me know....thanks

1st:
is everything running well at this point?
trip carbs? correct cam? has head been machined B4?
U will want to adapt the head for what's there currently or where U wish to advance toward...

is that (what further results U seek v what's possible) clear in ur mind?

Things I would consider:
1. Mill for increased compression
2. Backcut valves
3. 3 angle valve job
4. Check guides
5. 1 piece retainers
6. Stiffer springs
7. Oversized valves (1.75 intake, 1.50 exhaust)
8. Port divider (if you're running headers)
9. Shiny paint makes it go faster

all proceeded by CCing that head, seeing if the current cam fits 80% of the driving conditions (rpm), zeroing in on CR and fuel octaine and...
