The billet water pump pulley I had on my 200 will not fit the 250 water pump. Can I just machine the center hole bigger? This is one the Classic Inlines sold.
Thanks Brian

Re: Billet water pump pulley hole small for 250
Yes but are the pulley sheaves going to line up with those on your 250 balancer? Good luck

A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!
I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone!

Re: Billet water pump pulley hole small for 250
I have had trouble with a pulley for my 250, and I recently found a couple sources for them I can pass on to you, if you still need one.
Let me know, happy to help if I can!

I'm new here but if I know I'm using mostly common parts I just measure from the block to the face of the pump. If they are the same then it should rock and roll

Still need a source for new one.

Re: Billet water pump pulley hole small for 250
Howdy All:
65-coupe- You might try "Damper Doctor", (www.damperdoctor.com) 530-246-2984.
I know you are asking about a water pump pulley but this guy is knowledgeable.
Yes, there are differences between pre '78 and '78-'83 water pumps, pulleys and dampers. A 250 damper is larger in diameter than a 200 damper. A difference in the size of the center hole on the pulley is a new one on me. IF the pulley aligns with your 250 damper grooves, I don't see why you couldn't drill it out. Also check the dimension/diameter of the 200 pulley as compared to the 250 water pump pulley.
Hope that helps. Please let us know what you find. As always, the devil is in the details.
