2V Conversion question

Hey there folks,

I've go a question for you: With all of the folks doing 2V conversions, there must be some carb base plates for the large log cylinder heads kicking around. I've got a large log head and currently I'm using an Autolite 1100 with an adaptor plate from Vintage Inlines, my plan is to instead run one of my Carter RBS carbs. To have the carb oriented correctly I will need the base plate, I think.

Any help is appreciated.

Howdy Just Fare:

The only adapter plate for an RBS that I know of is the stock ones, from '70 -'74. Several here have made their own out of metal. I hope that helps you.

Adios, David

Yeah, you need the base plate. I think a YF baseplate will work on the RBS as well b/c my RBS base adapter fit's on a YF I have kicking around, but the bore is a little tight. A YFA adapter won't work, carb has a different bolt spread. I have one here, but I want to keep it, but what I can make out of the part# is D0DE-94389-B those last #'s may or may not be right, very hard to read. Maybe D0DE-9A589-B or 9A389-B?
