Those were available from NAPA auto parts in their carb parts. It's been a long time since I bought one, but you might give them a try. Good luck

I like a "wire" the same size (diameter).
Cut something the same diameter, but well over the length of the needed finished product.
Work the middle into the same pattern (take measurements frm the carb linkage) w/a needle nose or 2 &/or a vice.
Cut the long ends off as final operation in the reproduction sequence.
Insert under spring tension. (U may want to cut to final length now, after insertion instead). Operate to test ur results.
