On my old set up i was stock 66 200 with a webber 32 36 and hei, on my built motor I'm using a holly 350. On the webber I had a pressure regulator set at 3 psi. On v 8s I have nerver seen a holly used with a regulator. Can I ditch the regulator or not. Thanks in advance

Hi, Holley recommends 6-8 psi. Stock mechanical pump should work fine. You may need a regulator depending on the fuel pump you use. Good luck

You might want to keep your regulator.
Holley carbs have several float & needle & seat combinations.
To be on the safe side especially with heat soak the 6# setting might help.
Braswell & Bo Laws Auto sell many types of floats & needle & seat combinations.
I use their road race float in all my Holley carbs.
I would recommend the Holley 7448-350 carb over the Weber carb.

while the holley carb doesnt need a regulator, using one is a good idea. the holley and the autolite get away without using a regulator due to the large bowl volume, as well as the size of the float, compared to other carbs. the weber is sensitive to fuel pressure though, in part designed that way since the carb was designed to be able to control the fuel curve for a variety of engines compared to the american carbs.
