dying when hot

Hi guys, my name is Michal, I am new here, thank you for adding me.
I have 1966 3.3L Fairlane station wagon.
It starts, it drives. When I stop and it's in gear it goes rough, jumps and sometimes dies.
It has pertronix ignition, new coil, new plugs, new carburetor.
Any ideas.... I am frustrated...
thank you.

Have you made any adjustments to the new carb?
It would need to be set up.
And perhaps the the timing needs to be adjusted too.

Have you got a tach , timing light and a vacuum guage?

Jack, my thread was doubled, please check "car jumping when hot".Thanks, M
Yes, it's important to have one thread on one topic (& no other topics in that thread) then go onto another topic in another thread.
Keeps dwn the confusion.
However we allow a lill "over run" here.
On the other hand - a few of us R pretty confused no matter what - ME for example!

All besides the point - JF has some good info there - U may have an "off the shelf" carb (not ready 4 prime time, set up for a manual transmission, or something else - who knows what...till U get it on the vehicle & begin to adjust it). Many carbs fit different sz motors'n even different makes - must B played w/for each 'application'. So back to my point on the other thread - a manual can help here (tech archive, the Handbook, shop manual).
