Hey everyone. One of the future upgrades I want to accomplish is a alternator up tape preferably at least 60 amps or more to make sure I get full charge no matter the load the or rpm because intend to eventually pit speakers and charge my phone while driving. I found these two ones

My questions are how do I convert my 30 amp useless generator to this 3 wore stuoe alternator. A 14GA wire goin to the starter solenoid, a ground wire, and a wire going to the charge indicatir right?

First advice, don't get a chromed altenator. The chrome plating retains more heat than a bare aluminum casting. Shortened life span.

To go to single wire, you basically completely eliminate the voltage regulator and wires, then you directly wire the single wire altenator to the battery side of the starter solenoid and also move over the horn/accessory wire from the regulator B terminal to the battery side of the starter solenoid.

You may need a generator to altentaor swap mounting bracket.

I'd run the 10w50 racing oil (is it Castrol?) if U have the speeds U talk bout goin home.
(mild) -LOL- (but serious too)
Drain it nearer to winter (fall frez) after gettin home...then 10/30 yr round...

For ur alternator's output 50 - 70 A is fine. More (above 90/100 ?) may fry that ol system in ur car.
That will B plenty (even w/radio, hd lghts, phone'n a/c). Look on ur equip for the needs (usually a plate on the back) add them all up'n compaire to alt's rated output.

Yep as stated you may be considering alts that are way more than you need considering you don't have power windows, ac etc. At some point in the later 60's I believe Ford started using alts that were probably around 50-60 amps and may be an easier swap. You seem interested in upgrading your electrical system which is good and I am considering these upgrades myself. Online you can find info on a relay setup that will replace the high amp wire that goes to the ignition switch and your high beam switch. Also info on updating to heavier gauge battery wire etc.

the bronk sub-harness long enuff 4 the falcon nose?

The links are for illustrative purposes only. I plan to get a relay/fuse box from picnpul and make one using the wiring diagrams for the ignition, lights etc.
