Howdy guys,

So recently I've noticed my 66' 200 is starting to moan under low rpm load conditions, like starting from stop in first and getting low in 2nd. I havent tried 3rd yet. Its a very deep moan.
It does not happen when in neutral.

I can't tell if its the tranny or engine but i believe it's one of the 2. I put the parking brake on and slowly let off the clutch and it did it.

My bet is, after the parking brake, is that it is something internal or an exhaust leak at the manifold, which would not suprise me at all.

Its kinda like the moan you get when you lug the engine. But I dont know why it would start happening like this all of a sudden

Have you guys experienced this?

Thanks guys
Ryan

"moans" sound like body prts (or non-engine) to me, but
I don't understand the conditions. Get it to repeat under different conditions.
It's not e-brake involved? (again, what conditions, U mention use of e-brake).
Clutch mechanics?

'moas' could B exh, 'woosh' carb...

It could be exhaust leak, donut gasket?
Thats kind of what I thought. #6 cylinder for the exhaust doesnt have the upper flange for the manifold (broke off when i put it on). Currently it has a J bolt holding it in but it aint torqued properly.

My bet is the exhaust and I gotta wait till i get my later head to put the headers on.

So on another note, anyone got a late model head they'll let go for $100? Lol
