Hey Folks,

Can someone recommend a low profile starter motor? I`m trying to install a set of dual headers and I`m running into clearance issues.

Thanks in advance for your advices.

Thanks

Cristian

I have heard but have not confirmed that the FE starters share the same bolt pattern, others have the answer your looking for otherwise the search tab at the top would be useful as this has been discussed before. Good luck

I have a late '80s stang v6 oem (w/the CI shorties) I forget the AutoZone prt#.
the Handbook has somewhere listed 3 options inc 'mini starters'. That § of
the manual will list out the exact yr/displacement on the v6 I imagine...

I assume this is what U mean by 'low profile'.

yeah, once I quoted the late 80s/early 90s v6 stang I just ( I wrked there then) looked
up the AutoZone cross reference (Y/M/M) & pulled offa the shelf (no spec. order needed).
Ours was not a big store (not modern, hi ceeling, fresh build) but a lill dwn twn style so imagine
most name brands have'em (Advance. PepB, O'Riley's, I like NAPA - Echlin, Bosch).

Let us know how U do~
