Oil pressure

Install a new hei dizzy last week timed it by a vacuum gauge...car has never ran so good..maybe the cool Minnesota air..what I’m wondering..if I see oil pressure on my gauge the same as before..the oil pump is pumping..hate to have to take the valve cover off to check for oil.

Do you see a loss of oil pressure recently??

No..it’s the same as it was with the old dizzy..just wondering if I have oil pressure the pump is pumping oil...just want to make sure the dizzy is seated properly in the oil pump.

Since the distributor gear turns the oil pump and you have pressure it's all good.

Hi, if the distributor is seated on the block and the clamp is on you are OK.
Sometimes the hex shaft holds the distributor up and the distributor does not drop down all the way. Good luck
