New engine never cranked. Still working on vehicle rotisserie restoration after 2 years. Engine specs as follows:
'66 200. Au 250-2V head ported w/ oversize valves. Aussiespeed 4v alu intake. DUI. Carb: Autolite 2100 1.21 (300cfm) I will go to a Holley 4v. if warranted. Single outlet header w/ 2.5" exhaust. Installed cam: Clay Smith H-274-0-R cam. HD valve springs. Trans: C4 . Final drive ratio 3.20.
Is the cam too wild for this build? I want a good idle. While overhauling the C4 what torque converter would be appropriate?

What is your compression ratio?? What is the lobe center of the cam??
Get rid of that cam. Call Jerry @ Schneider Cams & give him all the specs.
You will need a 112 L/C cam.
A 2300-2500 stall converter would help.
Get you DUI recurved & fix the under oiling problem with that distributor. I can do that.
I will be out of the country for one week. I will have wifi only part of the time. Bill
