Any reports on the "similar to a Holley one barrel model 1904 which was used by Ford from 1957 to 1962" carburetors for sale @ $100.oo from many vendors.

Actually closer to a Holley 1908 ( AFAIK) , it looks pretty good, external jet adjust ?. Might be worth a try especially for tri-Power build outer carbs. Keeping similar 1904 type vintage carbs working keeps me busy ...

back when i had my old 82 faimont, i bought a "universal fit" carb off amazon. it worked, sort of. it wasnt as universal fit as it claimed to be, but with more patience, i could have gotten it to work well on that engine. just be prepared to spend afair amount of time making it fit, and tuning it. i didnt have teh patience at the time.

It looks exactly like the "Universal 1V" Daytona carb, but maybe with a cast iron base and maybe without the adjustable jet?
