1964 falcon with a 250 swap

Post #1 by mgerhold » Tue Oct 09, 2018 8:51 pm

i have a 64 falcon that i am looking to drop in a ford 250 maverick engine in. does any one have some close up photos so i can see how this motor sits in a 64? also any suggestions for a pusher fan. my understanding is that its a tight fit at the front so you have to have a pusher between the radiator and the grill. any info would be appreciated.

First welcome to Fordsix. I put a 250/C4 in my 62 and it's a squeeze but doable. Yes you need a pusher fan in front of the radiator. I had to flip my center link not sure if that's necessary on the 64. There is a lengthy build thread (66 pages) on the Comet Central forum

Lots of pictures and good info. I'm following the build because he's a couple steps ahead of where I am on my Mustang II install.

Hi, get the Ford Falcon Performance Handbook. There is info there on the swap you are planning to do. Good luck
