Good Price?

Post #1 by Guest » Sun Nov 17, 2002 1:45 am

Hey guys, I need help from some falcon gurus. I found a 63 2dr Ht locally and want to know if the price sounds about right. It has no motor or trans, and the owner has put V-8 suspension (5 lug) under it. He said he was going to install a302 but lost interest in the project. The body is straight, and there is no apparent rust. He wants $ 750 for it but he may take less. This car is exactly like the one I had when I was 16,except for the ugly paint my old car had. Any thoughts or Ideas will be appreciated....

8) depending on how complete the car is otherwise, i would say offer him 600 cash, but if you have to go the 750 as all the heavy duty work is done.

Bob - That price sounds good to me, especially if it has already been converted to 5-lug suspension and is in fair to decent condition.

I paid $625 for mine with a blown engine and an unknown condition C4, lots of parking lot dings, scrapes & dents. The interior was shot and needed replacing. The entire suspension needed to be rebuilt. However, the car was solid and did not have any rust on the floor pans or the glass channels. And it is a 62.5 Sports Futura original 4-speed car. 8) So I shelled out the bucks.

Bob, how bad do you want one like the one you had when you were 16?

$750.00 seems like a fair price to me, especially if it will fulfill a sentimental value for you.

These '69 Falcons I am into are taking me back to a special time in my life and I do not regret spending a penny on them my friend!
