INSTRUMENT PANEL GREMLINS

ok, ive got almost all functions working here. however, the left dash illumination bulb will not illuminate unless the high beams are triggered. any ideas?
i replaced the voltage regulator, and all bulbs

8) when you turn the lights on, does the high beam indicator light up even on low beam? if so then what happened is someone put a socket in the wrong hole. if not then someone tied that light to the high beam indicator circuit. if the first is the case then just move the bulb sockets around until you get the proper combination. the the second is the case, change the wiring to the socket in question.

yes, i wasnt sure if the green indicator light was for "lights on" in general. this is the exct scenario you have described.

8) i made the same mistake many years ago when i pulled my panel out and didnt mark everything. took me about 20 minutes to pull the panel back out and get the lights in the rigth sockets.
