ranchero seats?

Post #1 by Devon » Tue Jun 29, 2010 1:06 am

i was wondering if a ranchero bench seat from a 60-63 ranchero would fit in my 1963 falcon futura 2dr hardtop? i know they split in the middle so i thought it would be a good option plus i have no seats.

I believe they will.
The seat from a 2-dr sedan, 2-dr wagon, or a sedan delivery should too.
I believe all bench seat models used the same seat EXCEPT the convertible, 4-door wagon and 4-door sedan.

Just going from memory here though, maybe someone else can chime in and verify?
Mine: '61 chero, Clifford 200, E0 head (1.75/1.50, 1.6 rocker), 276 Cam, H-W 38/38, CI 6-to-2 header, T5, front disc, Shelby drop, 8" 3.0-posi, buckets/console, 15" TorqThrust's. Still building...
Son's "Parts Car": '61 chero, local built 200, C9 head (1.75/1.50, 1.5 rocker), 274 cam, 2V direct, Clifford 6-to-2 header, C4, B&M QuickSilver, stock rear and susp (for now).

Yes all the tudor seats are of the same design. They do have a minor width difference on some years I have had 65 Ranchero changed seat to one from a 64. The 64 looked the same and fit except that it was slightly wider and so had to move where the arm rests were mounted, without arm rests was ok.

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

I went back to there and got it, cleaned up okay but the vinyl is cracked on the driver side and it kinda sinks down, but it was 40 bucks and the guy let me have the carpet out of the ranchero so now my 63 FUTURA has REAL Carpet, just none in the back, but i never had a back seat anyways, I fired up the ole 289 today it ran great, some say its the motor that saved america.
