'67 suspension into a '65?

Post #1 by wallaka » Tue Aug 31, 2010 10:09 am

Anybody know if this will work? There's a '67 in the JY with 5 lugs all around (guessing it was a V8 car), was wondering if the spindles and all will fit on a '65. I guess I could get the control arms and everything else while I'm at it...

Yes much will, but the upper and lower control arms, tie rods etc. won't fit (the 67has wider engine compartment :hmmm:
A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

8) the upper arms wont work because the mounting points are wider than the earlier cars. while the lower arms might work, the 65-66 lower arms are available widely and inexpensively. grab the spindles though as they will bolt in place of your stock spindles.
