falcon front bumper?

Post #1 by papawfalcon » Tue Jul 05, 2016 10:25 pm

oWill a 1961 falcon front bumper fit on a 1962. My local craigslist has a 1961 front bumper and brackets for
$100. One small dent. With price of bumpers I though it might work for a year or two. And save mony?

The 1961 looks a lot different then a 1962, it's not going to fit. The 1963 would be about the same shape though. Good luck
A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

I know th bumpers are different. and the front clip. I have own Falcons for 40 year but never tried to swap some parts. I thought if the valance was changed? But now that I think of it the '62-'63 has more of a peak on the front it probabley would look strange not different. Thanks for helping my thought process. I guess my bumpers will be sraightened and painted for now.

I think it will bolt on, you may have to remove the stone guard. Don't know if it will look good.
