What to stockpile? Moving to EU

Post #1 by DoctorC » Sat Jun 22, 2019 7:00 pm

Hi All,
I'll be moving to France next Jan and I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions of parts to stockpile to take with me? I'm thinking a gasket set for sure. Anything else that might be hard to get across the pond from Autozone?

I'm on a stock 200, C4 in a 67 Mustang. Currently in the middle of upgrading to Weber 32/36 with Duraspark 2. VI headers on the way, then I'm done for upgrades for now, maybe disk breaks...

Thoughts and comments welcome!

You can probably get most things with some shipping time. But maybe a couple sets of spark plugs, a wire set, Distribitor cap and rotor, water pump, alternator, starter, couple oil filters, air and fuel filters, fan belt, set of U Joints, those items should help you to keep it maintained for quite awhile. Good luck on your move.

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

That's a nice shopping list! Many thanks!
I'll do exactly that.

BTW, why a U joint?

Just in case the ones in your driveshaft go bad. Some were not greaseable if yours have the grease jerks and you keep them lubber then you might not need them. Good luck
