I've been contemplating the Maverick lately, I thought I never much liked them (my mom had a green metallic one, I actually got my drivers liscense in that car) but lately I've been thinking that a Mav might make a good project car.

My thoughts are a 2dr, 250 with all the mods of course, but customize the body to become a Shelby Maverick (OK, I know there never was such a thing) remove all the chrome, Grabber hood, grille frontend work to look like the Mustangs (air dams scoops , etc.).

I may hunt me some photos and do the modifications and then post them see what you guys think  .

There's no way I'll probably ever be able to do this project for real with everything else, but I think that you could build a pretty cool car.

See Ya,
Mike

There was a Shelby Maverick! Go to Maverick.to and check them out. The Shelby distributor in Mexico made them. 302, 4spd etc.

There is another Maverick Forum that has a magazine story on a BOSS 302 Mav as well.

Anyone can restore a car, it takes a real hotrodder to cut one up and make it cool.

i also just came across a convertible maverick page. how hard would it be to chop off the top of a car, such as a maverick and put a convertible top on it? i bet an old mustang top would come close to fitting it exact. wheres the reciprocating saw? bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hey Elliot, aren't you supposed to be posting a mugshot in the FSP Lounge, rather than telling your GF what to do? (Sorry Josie, just stirring the lad.  )
