Still looking.....

Post #1 by CNC-Dude » Wed Oct 13, 2010 1:29 pm

Still looking for a decent 2 dr. Maverick body in the Tri-state Tennessee, N. Alabama and N. Georgia area. A bare body hull is fine, rolling preferred. Can be gutted with no engine and tranny even. Leads appreciated, thanks.

Its a "Model"
A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

There is a guy on another forum, Jamie Miles, in Suwanee, GA, who seems to have a few Mavericks. The link to his posts is http://www.maverick.to/mmb/showthread.php?t=45791.

If nothing else it is an interesting read.

Hope this helps.

I had a friend on here contact him about a year ago. He made initial contact with Jamie, but after that he wouldn't return any emails to him after that. Maybe i'll try him again. Thanks.

I have a '73 Grabber, no motor. It was a 250 car, roller with C4, 8" rear and 5 lug drum all around. Left rear quarter is shot, and there is rust in left front fender, hood, trunk lid and bottom of doors, and rear panel. Front valence is junk, and no rear valence. Floor has been repaired and trunk is solid. All good glass. It started out as a project to get it back on the road, and I had replaced a number of components, but then ended up using it as a parts car because I did not want to deal with the bad quarter. Has a '72 rear bumber good for core. Good seats (front bench), no gauges, ok dash, bad headliner. Good gas tank and sending unit, good chrome trim, junk wheels and tires on it now but you can roll it around your shop, new master cylinder but brakes need attention again. I'll try to post some pics with a link if you are interested. I have the title, I am in central SC. Let me know.

I've got a '71 Grabber that might be a good builder for you. The hood and rear spoiler are missing, and there's no motor/trans but otherwise mostly there. PM me if interested.
