71 straight six build need advice

Post #1 by Captain_6 » Wed Jun 01, 2016 10:18 pm

So i have a 1971 mercury comet that i have had since i was 9 that me and my dad are supposed to build. Now that i am 18 i want to start driving it to make it my daily driver. I just need some advice on things i need to do to make sure it can be realiable and maybe even a little faster. :D
Already rebuilt new carb, basic tune up stuff, and disc brakes.

Hi,get it on the road, drive it as much as you can and learn all about it. Do things the safe and smart way. Take pride in your work and buy good quality tools. You can develop a sense when something needs fixing. Get the repair manual, a small Chilton's book is good. Take your time and enjoy the experience. Good luck
B RON CO. Still workin' on it!
